Set up for a whole night under the stars. AstroGauge brings darkness, moonlight and the Milky Way’s direction together, so you can plan a night timelapse from your phone or wrist. Currently in beta testing.

See the whole night

Expand sunset through sunrise into one Night Clock, or switch to a full 24-hour view with midnight at the top. The sky changes from twilight to stars as darkness arrives.

Read moonlight at a glance

White shows when the Moon is above the horizon. Its glow into the stars illustrates how a fuller, higher Moon lights the sky. Blue marks astronomical darkness with the Moon down.

Aim for the middle of the night

See the whole Milky Way band and the Moon halfway between sunset and sunrise. A separate compass map shows where the band crosses the horizon, with both directions written out.

Keep the sky on your wrist

Round watch-face complications and a rectangular Smart Stack widget keep the night in view. Open the Watch app for more detail and larger controls.

Choose your view

Switch between Night Clock and Midnight Clock, or try the single-ring Night Markers and Sky Markers views in the app. Time and compass directions each have their own scale.

Take it offline

Sun, Moon and Milky Way positions are calculated on your device using your current or last saved location. The Watch can calculate its own sky without a live connection to your iPhone.
