The walkthrough, in words

Make space. Fast.

QuickTrim opens over moving reef footage. Keep the moments. Lose the gigabytes. Instrumental music accompanies the film.

Import a Final Cut Pro library

Drag a library from Final Cut Pro into QuickTrim, then browse the loaded clips and preview the footage.

Choose your moments

Skim through the footage and draw the ranges you want to keep. The workflow is shortened between actions.

Import a folder

Drag a folder from Finder into QuickTrim. The videos appear as filmstrips, ready to review.

Select ranges in your clips

Choose the parts to keep in the beach and reef clips. The vertical film includes close-ups of the filmstrips.

Review, trim, and verify

A separate export demonstration shows the review, Trim action, progress, and completed exports. It is separate from the preceding selections.

See the measured result

In this three-clip example, 1.35 GB of source video becomes 166 MB of clips: about 88% smaller and 1.19 GB less video to store. Savings vary. Storage is reclaimed after verifying the outputs and removing originals.
